art@work

The tension between art and work

A key part of our work as IT consultants and problem solvers is to invent new things and to constantly open up new sources of innovation. Contemporary art seeks to break down traditional perceptual relationships, often unleashing a view of the creative potential of the future. Every year, ti&m invites young Swiss artists to confront their art with the workplace reality of systems engineers, software developers, and digital designers.

We are looking for you as our new artist for art@work.

Do you have an idea how digitalization, innovation and art fit together? Then apply now for the 14th edition of art@work. With us you can show your works exclusively to a large audience at three locations in Zurich, Bern and Frankfurt am Main. The application conditions can be found below.
2006

The art@work project was launched in 2006. Working together with artists, we explore new pathways and seek out forms that keep our thinking and feeling fluid.

#014

Thirteen doesn’t have to be an unlucky number: We expect that art@work #013 in 2018 will produce another exciting project in the exhibition series.

300+

In the last twelve years with twelve exciting art projects, more than 300 artworks have been sold. Many of the images and artistic works are on display at our three offices.

art@work overcomes mental barriers and opens our – admittedly rather detail-oriented – engineers’ eyes to new ideas. art@work has been an adventure every year since 2006.

Applications for art@work #014

Once again in 2018, we are offering young artists the opportunity to conceive their own project, incorporating the themes of innovation, digitalization, and the individuality of our employees. Sound exciting?! We are seeking projects that develop the tension between art & work, and incorporate the people and spaces at ti&m. «We expect to see artists who are ready to hack our working space with their work and to infect us with their ideas,» says Thomas Wüst, CEO of ti&m AG.

A budget is available to develop the project, marketing campaigns will promote it, and there will be previews at three locations. ti&m will offer the works for sale to its employees and clients during the exhibition. Artists, preferably those without an agency or gallery, are invited to submit project ideas.
