As one of the few Swiss providers of identification and onboarding solutions, ti&m’s services comply with both ZertES and eIDAS regulations. As a result, ti&m’s customers can legally verify the identity of their end customers and prospects and issue qualified electronic signatures (QES) directly.
ti&m online identification is fully automated, so identification services can be performed across Switzerland and Europe around the clock. For identification documents without an integrated NFC, such as the Swiss identity card, real-time verification is mandatory; this is carried out in the background by a specialized registration officer. ti&m’s partner call center (24 hr) can be effortlessly integrated into the identification process to help with this.
ti&m online identification seamlessly integrates with customers’ existing apps and onboarding processes using a white-label approach, thus supporting the customer onboarding strategy nationally and internationally.
What is eIDAS?
eIDAS (electronic IDentification, Authentication and trust Services) is a European Union regulation governing the use of trust services and electronic identification throughout Europe. The regulation standardizes the use of electronic identification and defines the various e-signature standards:
– Simple electronic signature (SES)
– Advanced electronic signature (AES)
– Qualified electronic signature (QES).
This created the basis for a common market for electronic trust services in all 28 EU member states, and is also used by the non-EU countries Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland and the United Kingdom. Switzerland did not directly adopt the EU regulation, but based its federal law ZertES on eIDAS.
