Swiss digitizer ti&m is giving its "hack an app" IT youth development program a bigger platform and partnering with Best of Swiss Apps. Now, the best quiz app of a child will be awarded the "hack an app award" at the Best of Swiss Apps. The winner can look forward to an unforgettable evening at the award night with their parents and a voucher from Digitec Galaxus.
All children who have attended a "hack an app" course can take part in the "hack an app award". However, participation is also open to other children. The condition is that they are between 11 and 14 years old and have developed their own app using the "Thunkable" platform. The focus of the participation is not the technological know-how, but the creativity and the idea behind the developed app. All information about participation can be found here.
Awakening the joy of IT with "hack an app" courses
For over ten years, ti&m has been getting kids excited about IT with its "hack an app" IT youth development program. At the four-day courses, children learn the basics of IT, develop their own app with the help of ti&m employees and thus immerse themselves in the fascinating world of technology in a playful way. Over 2,000 children have now taken part in the youth development program. By launching the "hack an app award" and partnering with Best of Swiss Apps, ti&m aims to give more reach to the very important topic of youth development in IT.

The free four-day courses are held regularly during the school vacations at ti&m's three Swiss locations in Zurich, Bern and Basel and at various schools throughout German-speaking Switzerland. The "hack an app" courses are also available for other companies and can be booked including ti&m course leaders and held in the respective offices.
